There are mornings that are a struggle to get moving. It happens to me here and there. I'm certain that you have mornings that beg you to just stay in bed and pull the covers up. Here's something that can help you take the first step. I tell myself 'just 20 minutes' is all I'm going to exercise. That's not too daunting, right? How easily can 20 minutes pass while scrolling Facebook or sitting on the toilet...? Just 20 minutes can have incredible health benefits and it's over in a snap! A short workout is totally doable-even if you don't feel like it. I also think about how proud of myself I'll be when it's finished. I'll be awake with blood flowing and my mood boosted for the day. And, more often than not, I continue to 30 or 45 minutes because my motivation kicks in around minute 6 and I feel great! Try this self talk when getting your fitness onnnnn is the last thing you feel like doing. And maybe take a selfie to appreciate how strong your body and mind are becoming as you make yourself a priority. Dooooo ittttt!
